Norient Community Services – Member FAQs

What is Norient Community Services?

Norient is a long-term, non-medical advocacy and care coordination service designed to support adults as they age. We help members plan ahead by providing representation, coordination, and logistical assistance when family support alone may not be enough.

One of the many benefits of Norient is that members don’t have to pay for these services independently, where costs would otherwise be significantly higher without a coordinated plan in place.

Is Norient medical care or health insurance?

No. Norient is not a medical provider, insurance company, or healthcare facility. We do not provide medical treatment, diagnosis, or clinical advice. We work alongside your existing doctors, hospitals, and care providers to help coordinate and advocate for you.

Who is Norient for?

Norient is for adults who want to plan ahead for aging with clarity and dignity, including:

  • Individuals without spouses or children
  • People with families who don’t want to burden them
  • Professionals and independent planners
  • Adults preparing for early or nontraditional retirement
  • Anyone who values having a trusted advocate as life changes
How does membership work?

Members enroll in a Base Plan (with optional add-ons) and pay a monthly fee based on age. Each payment is divided between Norient operations and your personal Service Bank, which accumulates over time and is used to pay for services later.

What is the Service Bank?

The Service Bank is a personal, service-only balance that builds monthly from your membership contributions. It is used exclusively to pay for Norient-provided services and coordination support.

Service Bank balances:

  • Are not cash-accessible
  • Do not earn interest
  • Are not investments
  • Can only be used for Norient Services
